Business Development Manager

The Role:
Universe is growing fast and we’re seeking an ambitious, bright, and forward-thinking business development manager to help lead user acquisition. Your main objective will be to increase Universe’s client base (i.e. event organizers). In addition, you will be an integrated part of Universe’s product team and will be responsible for providing insights from event organizers that will help identify and prioritize new feature development. You will be generously compensated based on your sales performance. 

Responsibilities:

  • Responding to prospective clients’ emails and phone calls 
  • Scheduling and conducting meetings with qualified leads 
  • Onboarding new clients, negotiating contracts 
  • Understanding Universe’s technology, value propositions and the ability to evangelize its platform 
  • Keeping Universe’s management informed by maintaining accurate records within Salesforce.com 
  • Providing Universe Product team with key insights into customer needs 
  • Hitting and exceeding weekly and monthly targets

Requirements:

  • Highly motivated, resourceful, and results-oriented to achieve goals 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Previous sales experience and proven track record of exceeding targets 
  • Self starter and true entrepreneur at heart 
  • Strong business sense and understands technology and how to efficiently use it 
  • Friendly and outgoing, not afraid to connect with new people
